Dr. Schanne is the first urologist in Delaware to perform the da Vinci robotic prostatectomy. He has performed over 500 Robotic-Assisted Laparoscopic surgeries and is the first urologist in Delaware to perform daVinci Robotic Partial Nephrectomy, Robotic Prostatectomy, Robotic Cystectomy, Robotic Nephrectomy, Robotic Ureteral Reimplantation, Robotic Nephroureterectomy and Robotic Fistula Repair. Dr. Schanne is the Chairman of Urology at St. Francis Hospital and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr Schanne completed four years on active duty as a Urologist at Martin Army Hospital, Fort Benning, Georgia in May 2003. Prior to that he was a resident in Urology at the University of Pennsylvania Health Center. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson Medical College and attended Villanova University where he obtained a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
